I’m a travel and lifestyle blogger based in Okinawa, sharing my favorite local spots and travel tips at @owncolorstravel for visitors from other parts of Japan and travelers from overseas who are interested in Japanese culture.
This time, I visited a stylish café in Yomitan Village, located in the central area of Okinawa’s main island. Surrounded by nature and thoughtfully designed inside and out, it’s the perfect place to stop by in between your Okinawa adventures.
More than just a café, this spot offers a unique atmosphere where you can truly connect with nature. Let me take you inside and show you all the details that make it so special.

・ Fullcafe château

・Location and exterior of Furukafe
Fullcafe château 2713-94 Zakimi, Yomitan Village, Nakagami District, Okinawa Prefecture
Tucked away in a quiet residential area near Yachimun no Sato—famous for its pottery—and the historic Zakimi Castle Ruins, you’ll find Fullcafe Château.
There’s a parking lot right on the property, and as soon as you walk through the entrance gate, a staff member greets you warmly. Head down the stairs and you’ll be welcomed again by another staff member right in front of the entrance doors. This extra touch instantly gives the place a sense of hospitality that goes beyond your average café.

・Cafe System

This café has a unique system—it works on an hourly rate.
You can try it out for ¥800, but since I was visiting around lunchtime and wanted to have a meal, I chose the one-hour option. Drinks from the self-serve drink bar and light snacks are included, but food and alcoholic beverages are available as additional options. For example, if you order curry rice, the total for a one-hour stay comes to about ¥2,300.
If you’re just here for tea, it’s included within your time slot, making it a very budget-friendly way to enjoy the space.

・A luxurious interior and a terrace surrounded by greenery

The café area is spacious, with an atmosphere that feels more like a luxury hotel lounge than a typical coffee shop. Everywhere you look, there are decorative displays—even on the ceiling! What really catches your eye are the sections showcasing Louis Vuitton bags and accessories, along with touches from other luxury brands like Cartier, giving the whole space an air of elegance and opulence.
True to its name, Fullcafe Château—with “château” meaning “castle” in French—the design has a regal charm that instantly makes you think of a grand estate.

While waiting for my meal, I stepped out onto the terrace.
The open-air view, surrounded by lush tropical plants, was incredibly relaxing. Honestly, the location is just too perfect! lol

While I was exploring the place, the pasta I had ordered arrived. It seems to change weekly, and on this day it was eggplant meat and tomato pasta.

・Cave area

Just before the entrance, there’s a stylish “cave” area that feels like stepping into another world.
Inside, it’s dimly lit with soft, indirect lighting, creating a cozy and intimate vibe. There are tables here too, so you can enjoy a meal or take a break in this unique setting. It’s a great spot for couples to relax together—perfect for a date that’s a little out of the ordinary.
I think this attention to detail in every corner is what makes Fullcafe Château so captivating.
・An Open-Air Garden Escape

Just a few steps further down the stairs, you’ll find a spacious, lush garden filled with vibrant greenery. There’s even a pond with koi swimming gracefully, making it such a peaceful and relaxing spot to spend an afternoon.

I was thinking, what a perfect afternoon this is—until I suddenly got bitten several times. Since I’ve always been the type that mosquitoes love, I quickly realized that mosquito repellent is an absolute must here. If you’re someone who also tends to get bitten easily, make sure to come prepared so you can fully enjoy the beauty of this green oasis without the itch!

Final Thoughts
Fullcafe Château in Yomitan Village is so much more than just a café—it’s a luxurious space where you can truly feel connected to nature.
There’s also a sister café in Uruma City called Fullcafe Goten, designed with a Japanese-inspired aesthetic. Like Château, it’s a self-service café lounge with time-based seating, so if you have the chance, visiting both locations could be a fun experience.
Whether you’re a café lover or simply looking for a cool spot to escape the Okinawan heat, this unique café lounge is sure to become one of those memorable places during your stay in Okinawa.
